Private Pay: My private pay rate for clients not using insurance is $160 per 50-minute session.
Using Insurance: I accept United (UHC, UBH, UMR) and Aetna for clients living in Colorado and in Michigan. You are responsible for contacting your insurance regarding coverage/benefits for outpatient psychotherapy.
Superbills: If your insurance is out of network, I can provide you with a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance to determine if they would partially reimburse you.
Payment Type: I accept checks, all major credit cards, and Health Savings Account (HSA). I will keep your credit card information on file through an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system that is HIPAA-compliant and has bank-level encryption. Payment for out-of-pocket costs will take place automatically at the conclusion of every visit using the card on file, unless another payment method (such as a check) is discussed. Checks are payable to Sierra Larson Therapy.
Good Faith Estimate: Under the law, patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance are entitled to an estimate of the bill for medical items and services, including psychotherapy. You can dispute a bill that is $400 or more than your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.
