Frequently Asked Questions

GETTING STARTED

Book a free 15 minute consultation where we can get to know each other a little bit, and I can answer any questions you may have. If we decide we are a good fit, we will schedule a session.

LENGTH & FREQUENCY

Sessions are 50 minutes long. I ask that my clients meet on a weekly basis for at least 6 weeks, after which we can explore bi-weekly sessions as an option if desired. The number of sessions varies from person to person, though my style tends to favor longer term work. Some may find relief within a few months, while others need support for an extended period. Everyone goes at their own pace and has different goals. For those wanting to do deeper work, it takes time to build trust before we explore more difficult topics.

STATES & LOCATION

I am available to see clients who are located in Colorado or Michigan. I am available via virtual appointment to clients in Michigan. Clients in Colorado have the option to speak virtually or in person. With the announcement that the Public Health Emergency will be ending in May 2023, some insurance plans may require that some visits take place in person. If you are located in Michigan or are within Colorado but not near Denver, we will discuss this during our consultation appointment.

WORKING WITH OTHER ISSUES

I have knowledge and experience outside of anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. I have previous experience working with chronic pain and tinnitus management in an outpatient hospital setting. You may have come across my website and felt seen. Or you may have been given a recommendation by someone that leads you to believe we would be a good fit. Feel free to schedule a consultation, and we can discuss working together.

WHAT IF I’M NOT SURE IF YOU’RE THE RIGHT THERAPIST FOR ME?

Not everyone is right for you, and that’s okay! My first priority is to make sure we are a good fit for each other. When possible, I recommend requesting consultations with several therapists to get a sense of their style. If we move forward after our consultation, I’ll check in often about how things are going for you — things like me, our relationship, the therapy process — and if it’s feeling like we are a good fit.

IN PERSON AND VIRTUAL OPTIONS

I offer in-person and virtual therapy—whichever you prefer! My office is located at 1872 S Pearl Street Denver, CO 80210, within the South Pearl historic shopping district. My office is located on the second floor, accessed via one flight of stairs. Restrooms are gender-inclusive.
